Who is Eligible
DOD Libraries is committed to connecting our patrons with new ideas, accurate information, and memorable experiences. We welcome all library patrons affiliated with the Department of Defense and thank them for their service and dedication to our country!
Authorized Patrons:
- Active duty military (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard)
- Members of the Reserve components and National Guard
- Retired military, including retired from the Reserves and National Guard
- Medal of Honor recipients and veterans with 100% service-connected disabilities
- Eligible family members who are officially sponsored (ID card holder) by authorized patrons in the above categories
- DOD and Coast Guard civilians, including appropriated and nonappropriated fund employees, when stationed outside the United States; stateside eligibility contingent upon resource availability

Step By Step Guide
Step 1: Head over to the DoD MWR Libraries. Once there, click Log in on the top right corner.
Step 2: In the DoD MWR E-Library Verification page. Enter your DoD ID and your Date of Birth. Click Submit.
Step 3: After logging in. Click on My Account.
Step 4: Click Manage. Under the O’Reilly logo, type your Military Email and click “Save eResource Settings”.
Step 5: Now is time to go to the O’Reilly sign-in page. Enter your Military Email and click Continue. The page will update with a new dropdown menu, Select DoD MWR Libraries and click Sign in with SSO.
Step 6: Enjoy over 50,000+ courses, events, books and much more.
